“Vall de Xaló” is selected as the best muscatel in the Valencia Community in 2012
The “Vall de Xaló” has been awarded first place as the Best Muscatel of the Year. The Valencia Association for Agribusiness’, Proava, presented the award to the wine from BodegasXaló during the annual wine tasting held by the Els Bodeguers collective. The “Vall de Xaló” holds the Protected Designation of Origin Alicante certificate.

Last Tuesday a panel of seven judges evaluated close to twenty samples of sweet wines and mistelas produced by wine cellars ascribed to the DO Alicante and Valencia
The conference room at RuralCaja centre played host last Tuesday to an activity that is unusual in the wine world: a blind wine tasting of sweet muscatel wines. This year’s competition was organised between the Proava association and the Els Bodeguers collective, in collaboration with the Designation of Origin Alicante and Valencia, as well as the Consulate for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

“Vall de Xaló”, awarded 1st prize as the best muscatel in the Valencia Community
“Vall de Xaló” from the BodegasXaló wine cellar (Vinos Alicante DOP) has been awarded first price in the “Best Muscatel of the Year” category, organised by Proava, in the annual wine tasting competition held by the Bodegueros y Licoristas Els Bodeguers association, which was held in the Ruralcaja-Grupo CRM foundation centre. It is the best acknowledgement for this100% muscatel wine, in the only competition in Spain for its variety, and it’s another to add on to its long list of prizes and acknowledgements.

A Bodegas Xaló mistela was awarded a Silver Baco in Madrid 2011
The wine cellar is at the brink of starting the grape harvest with high hopes for this year's crop.
Bodega Xaló has just been awarded the Silver Baco for their Vall de Xaló mistela, which is made using the muscat grape variety, with this year's award ceremony held in Madrid. This achievement comes after the recent success of their Vall de Xaló red mistela, at the Wine and Woman Awards which was also held in Madrid, and the Malvarrosa rosé wine which was a success in Valencia.

BodegasXaló is awarded first prize in Madrid 2011
The Co-operative in Xalo has been awarded first prize for their red Vall de Xaló Mistela in an international competition held in Madrid (Wine and Women awards).
The contest is endorsed by the Ministry of Environment, Rural and Marine Environments.
This year 31 guarantee of origin from Spain were presented with another 9 from Italy, 6 from France and 2 from Greece with a total of 150 wines.

The Mostra de Vins 2011 awards BodegasXalo’s wines
The Xalo Cooperative was awarded twice for their wines at the Mostra de Vins, Caves, Licors i Aliments Tradicionals de la Comunitat Valenciana, which was held at the beginning of the month in Valencia.

Bodega’sXalo rose wine, Malvarrosa, awarded silver prize 2010
The co-operative in Xaló (Jalon) was awarded silver prize for their rose wine Malvarrosa, in the recently held XVI Concurso Nacional de Vinos Premios Mezquita (National Mezquita Wine Awards). A judging panel made up of 36 renowned wine tasters awarded, between the 479 samples presented by 180 bodegas, the rose wine Malvarrosa with the silver Mezquita (prize) in this prestigious competition.

BodegasXaló wins in the Mostra de Vins 2010
The sweet white Bahía de Dénia and the Riu Rau mistelas, receive first prizes in their categories.
The wines produced by Bodegas Xaló were warded three prizes at the XXII Mostra de Vins, Caves, Licors i aliments Tradicionals de la Comunidad Valenciana (XXII display of wines, liquors and traditional foods of the Valencia Community) which was held in the Valencia capital.
