Bodega’sXalo rose wine, Malvarrosa, awarded silver prize 2010
The co-operative in Xaló (Jalon) was awarded silver prize for their rose wine Malvarrosa, in the recently held XVI Concurso Nacional de Vinos Premios Mezquita (National Mezquita Wine Awards). A judging panel made up of 36 renowned wine tasters awarded, between the 479 samples presented by 180 bodegas, the rose wine Malvarrosa with the silver Mezquita (prize) in this prestigious competition.
This year the Co-operative Bodega has been awarded the 2010 silver Bacchus, the bronze medal in the Manojo Awards and three prizes won in Valencia (Els Bodeguers Awards).
The Mezquita 2010 Awards, one of six competitions officially recognised by MARM (Ministry of the Environment, Rural and Marina Affaire), is an event promoted by the cultural association ‘Aula de Vino de Cordoba’ whose aim is to highlight, promote and reward the quality of Spanish wines.
After more than fifteen consecutive years the Mezquita Awards are considered by wine makers as one of the most prestigious competitions held at a national level.
