The awards were presented in the National Wine Fair (Fenavin) recently held in Ciudad Real.
BodegasXaló were the only wine cellar with the guarantee of origin of Alicante awarded.
New Wines
The Co-operative of Xalo have just finished extending their Malvarrosa wine range which now features a white and red wine.
The Malvarrosa wine was previously only made as rosé but due to its large success in past years it is now offered in three varieties.
The new Malvarrosa white wine is developed with the Muscat grape variety and is a semi-sweet white with the fresh, intense aroma of the Muscat grape.
The Malvarrosa red wine was created with both the Garnacha and Tempranillo grape varieties, the hints of mature fruit persistent and clean on the nose whilst the flavour highlights the smoothness and natural sweetness.
The sea breeze, the warmth of the sun and the freshness of these grapes are united in this Mediterranean tasting wine.
