BodegasXaló has elected the CDT in Denia as the place to publicly present their new creations. This includes the Bahía de Dénia Brut Nature, “one of the first and few sparkling wines created with 100% Muscat grapes from the Vall de Pop”, according to the wine cellars oenologist. The president of BodegasXalo, Pepe Juan Reus, is “very hopeful” of the new project and wishes that “its circulation will be a complete success”.
Bahía de Dénia Brut Nature is a sparkling wine created using the traditional method, otherwise known as the “champanoise”. They have bottled a limited series of just 10.000 bottles and those knowledgeable on the subject assure that it is a “fine sparkling wine enhanced by its refinement and elegance”.
The town’s archaeologist, Josep Gisbert, was in charge of the presentation. He acknowledged the importance of wine in the Marina Alta area during the Roman times, the VII and VI centuries. The archaeologist centred the display on the importance of the amphora. “Its reaffirmed existence is a testimony that the area exported and imported wine”. Adding that, “2000 years ago our region had a wine so brilliant that it was exported”.
The presentation was attended by companies and wine connoisseurs, Councillor Pepe Font and the director of the CdT Pepe Vidal, amongst others.
